This question will also depend on which trail you are going to take.

Let’s answer in parts, for example, the Rio do Boi Trail (a trail with a lot of water); we can use sneakers that are lighter and won’t weigh you down when wet, but are more prone to ankle sprains. We can also use boots that provide more protection for the ankle area, but are heavy to walk on when wet. Always remember the tip: never go on a trail with new, brand new shoes!! Your feet will thank you if the shoes are already shaped to your size.

If the terrain is regular and flat, always prefer sneakers. Assess and ask us what the terrain will be like!
