- Severity of the environment – risks and characteristics arising from the natural environment, such as temperature, rainfall, ease of rescue, etc.;
- Guidance of the route – refers to the degree of difficulty for orientation, such as the presence of signage, well-marked trails, presence of reference points, among others, to complete the route;
- Terrain conditions – refers to the aspects found on the route in relation to the surface and the conditions for walking it, such as types of surfaces, sections with obstacles, sections with loose stones, among others;
- Intensity of physical effort – refers to the amount of physical effort required to complete the route, taking into account length and unevenness (ascents and descents), considering a typical client. A typical client is considered an adult, non-athlete and with light luggage.
